Day out on the Town...well it was actually only 4 hours, but it sure was nice
Today, Chris and I got to get out of the house for a little bit....all by ourselves.
Nana and Pop Q kept the kiddos, while we went to Decatur for lunch. We went to Hancock Fabrics for some stuff for Chris's new sewing machine and my embroidery machine; to Lowes just to look around; out to eat at Red Lobster *yummy* and to Books-A-Million.
It was a nice trip, even if it was only for 4 hours.
Thanks! Larry and Melody... we really appreciated it.

Visit from Great Grandma
Mamaw came to visit the grandkids this morning! Mommy was able to get a shower and clean up a little bit while she visited in the living room. She brought Mason some peaches * which he loves* , I think he ate almost 2! Caroline was terrific, she slept nearly the entire time!
Tomorrow, Chris and I are getting to go out! Nana and Pop Q are going to watch the kiddos, while we go to Decatur for lunch and some shopping. I am super excited to get out of the house for a little bit.

Caroline's First Trip to the Pediatrician
These are pics from Caroline's first trip to the doctor. We got to wait in the freezing cold waiting room for approx. an hour. (*the MD apologized, they were running behind*) Our appointment was at 3pm and we didn't get home until 5pm, so you can imagine how happy Mommy and baby girl were after this visit.
Caroline looked great! She weighed 6 lbs 4 oz when we were discharged from the hospital and she had gained up to 6 lbs 6 oz at this visit.

Caroline in her bucketSo, today I decided to start a blog....I don't know how well this is gonna go, but I will try and keep it updated at least once a week.
I have two children, Mason Walker, who is 2 1/2 years old. We are in the process of potty training right now and have been for the past 3 weeks. Things are going well..he has the peeing down pat, but #2 has been harder *as expected. He did have success with it yesterday though...I was so excited. Who knew that one could get so excited over POO! LOL.
Caroline Isabella, was born June 26, 2009 and she weighed 6 lbs 10 oz. and was 20 inches long. She will be 2 weeks old Friday. I love being a mommy to a little girl, it is totally different! She is doing well, except for the fact that I have now had to stop drinking caffeine, eating chocolate, and indulging in too much ice cream or dairy. After a couple of sleepless nights, I realized what was causing her stomach upsets. Heck, at least if I cut out all those things, loosing the baby weight should be a breeze....right? Last night was wonderful! Caroline woke up at 12 and 3 and then last at 7am....so that was a perfect night...(in my eyes at least).
Well, the morning is going well. We finished our breakfast and now Mason is watching his daily line-up of Dora, Diego, and SpongeBob. :( The only one I can really tolerate is SpongeBob, but I hate to say that any show that he watches..I can pretty much recite every word in any song that may come on. THAT'S SAD, isn't it? Later, I think we are going to color and maybe go outside to play with the giant mosquitoes that live in our front yard. LOL. Oh and of course Mommy will have to do some laundry.
TTFN! Megan
